dangerous skin care ingredientsThe following is extracted from an article by Jim Chesney reporting on a talk in Bristol by Debra Redbourn’s that appeared in the June/July 2008 Society of Cosmetic Scientists Newsletter.

“What constitutes a cosmetic product is clearly defined by EU Cosmetics Directive and MHRA (Medicines and Health Care Products Regulating Agency.

Areas to consider include the composition of the product, its function, the area of application and any claims made for the product.
