What is it?

Flowers from France. Carnation Absolute is extracted from the flowering tops of carnations and whilst by no means cheap, it has a wonderfully sensuous and slightly herbal scent dominated by sweet floral with a hint of honey. It is very long lasting as a fragrance. It is almost exclusively used in very high-end perfumery. Therapeutically, it can be used to help you move on, be more motivated and "get a shift on". As you would expect from the exquisite fragrance, it is an aphrodisiac. It is quite euphoric and very effective at negating negative aspects of the mind and motions. It does have other therapeutic uses but they can all be done by other cheaper oils. Buy carnation absolute as your own personal guilty pleasure!

Skin Care

It works well as a signature fragrance on its own for top of the range serums, creams and face and massage oils. It also works well in top of the range potpourris and room fresheners and of course in exclusive perfumery, including pulse point perfumes. Pulse point perfumes are usually sold in mini roller ball containers, making them easy to apply to pulse points such as inside the wrist, behind the ears, at the temples, behind the knees, the back of the neck, the cleavage area, between the toes, ankles, and thighs. To make a pulse point perfume, blend 2ml of the absolute with 8ml alcohol or vegetable oil and put in a 10ml glass mini roll-on ball bottles (ref: 9403) - perfect for sales, a luxury gift or for your own handbag!

Suggested Blends

Blends well with Ylang Ylang, Clary Sage, Coriander and Lavender. In classic perfumery it is often used as a middle or 'heart' note and can be found in perfumes alongside other favourite classics such as Neroli, Rose, Gardenia and Violet and goes well with woody base notes such as Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Vanilla, etc.

Caution

Carnation Absolute should not be used on irritated or broken skin.
