How to Use
- First of all, you can use it as a hand wash.
- Castile Soap can be used for a shaving lather.
- It can be used as a pet shampoo.
- By adding herbal infusions and D-Panthenol, use it as a natural shampoo.
- Great when used for washing clothes and nappies.
- For general cleaning, dilute it and use it in a spray bottle. Effective when used for heavy-duty degreasing.
- Simply add fragrances, essential oils or other appropriate raw materials e.g. Botanical CO2 Extracts and stir into the Castile Soap thoroughly.
- For making body scrubs with Castile Soap
- Mix in 1-3% Apricot Kernel Powder together with 1-2% Jojoba Exfoliating Grains. Shake well before use as the exfoliating agents sink.
Storage and Shelf Life
- 3 years maximum (see product label). Store cool and dark in an airtight container.

- Remember, if adding lavender essential oil, this will usually thicken the soap.

- Thank you for your enquiry. There isn't a direct substitute but you could try using Lumorol K 5229 in combination with Beta T as that could work. I would recommend starting with a small batch to adjust and test as needed. Obviously as we haven't tried this, we can't guarantee the results.

- Hi, for making hand soap and adding essential oils do you need an emulsifier and preservative (as it contains water)? If so which of your preservative is best? And additionally for general cleaning what is the ratio of water to dilute it? Thanks.
- Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the below response from our R&D Team; "You don't need an emulsifier for adding essential oils to the soap and you don't need a preservative because the pH of the soap is quite high so isn't conducive to microbiological contamination. However, if you dilute it to use for general cleaning, then I would say either use it up very quickly or add a preservative. The product would then need a challenge test and Safety Report if you are planning on selling it. As for ratio of soap to water, it really depends on how concentrated or "heavy duty" you want it to be. There are no hard and fast rules here, it really is up to you."
