Everything You Need To Know
A colourless liquid with a beautiful fragrance that smells just like fresh roses from the garden produced by steam distillation of the petals of the organic Damask Rose.
- Use 1% to 100%.
- Water soluble so cannot be used in oil only products.
- Heat stable so can be used in Stage 2 (water stage) when making creams and lotions.
- This hydrolat has had no broad spectrum preservative added to its bottle, so please take care to not contaminate it during use.
Hydrolats are very prone to fungal contamination. Store them in the fridge if you can and never leave the tops off the bottles whilst you are working.
Mix equal amounts with Orange Blossom Hydrolat / Hydrosol for a beautiful fragrance and amazing toner for all skin types.
Blend with other hydrolats / hydrosols at the recommended dilutions for refreshing and tonifying facial mists.

Skin Care

- It is cooling and mildly antiseptic making it ideal to use as a facial mist just on its own as well as after cleansing and before applying other products.

- No, our Organic Rose Hydrolat is intended for cosmetic use only and is not suitable for internal consumption as we are not a food processing site.

- Thank you for your enquiry. The Inci is Rosa Damascena Flower Water and the expiry date is 29/02/2024. Hydrolats are very prone to fungal contamination. Store them in the fridge if you can and never leave the tops off the bottles whilst you are working.
- I’ve received my order - a bottle of Rose Hydrolat 100 ml purchased this October, but the expiry date is Feb 2023. Do you normally send out products with such a short life? I’’m disappointed to have paid full price for an item In which I have to use up in 3 months. I would expect at least 6 months to a year!
- Thank you for contacting us. The Hydrolats and Hydrosols usually arrive with a six month shelf life. This means that it is quite common for them to be sold with a short shelf life. Floral waters are incredibly vulnerable to fungal contamination which is why they don't have a long shelf life. You can add a preservative and it will preserve the product for 12-18 months. Saliguard PCG can be used as its fully water soluble and won’t have a noticeable aroma like the preservative eco which can be used also.
