Q&A
- hello, tamanu - unrefined? origin?
- Thank you for your enquiry. Our Tamanu Oil Organic is cold pressed and filtered. The country of origin is Vietnam or India, depending on availability.
- What is the minimal effective level to use this oil (percentage)?
- Thank you for your enquiry. The recommended percentage to use starts at 1%. You can use this oil up to 100%.
- What is 1g of this oil equivalent to in ml roughly?
- Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team; "I'm sorry, but I don't know as we never work that way. You could put a measuring cylinder on a set of scales and zero them, then add Tamanu up to the ml mark you want and then you will be able to see what it weighs. The problem with this is that is that you will not be able to get the oil out as it will all stick to the sides of the cylinder. That is another reason why we weigh the ingredients directly into the container to be used. If you're only making a small amount, you would be safe to assume that they are roughly equal. However, you should not trust this guesstimate if you are making larger volumes of product like 3 kg as the difference will be much more noticeable."
