Vitamin B3, also known as Niacinamide, is a versatile water soluble vitamin used in many cosmetic applications. This fine white crystalline powder is especially valued in skincare for its ability to even out skin tone, balance sebum and refine skin texture—making it a key ingredient for those formulating high performance natural skincare. The DIY experience of personalising skincare routines with 100% Niacinamide Powder allows you to mix it with your favourite skincare products and get direct application benefits to address multiple skin concerns.
Our cosmetic grade Vitamin B3 is refined to contain minimal residual nicotinic acid so there’s no “niacin flush” or prickling effect. It’s great for even sensitive or reactive skin formulations. It dissolves easily in water and works across a broad pH range so it’s flexible in product development.
Make sure the powder is fully dissolved for a smooth consistency and adding rosewater can help with that without graininess.

Skincare Routine Integration
Using 100% Niacinamide Powder in your skincare routine can be a bit tricky but with some guidance it can be a great addition. The powder can be mixed with water based products like hyaluronic acid serum, natural moisturising factors or other non-conflicting treatments. Make sure to follow the mixing guide and patch test before applying the product to ensure compatibility and avoid irritation. When using the powder mix a quarter scoop with a water based product and apply to the skin, avoid direct contact with the eyes. If contact occurs rinse thoroughly with water. This way you can get the benefits of Niacinamide while minimising the risk of adverse reactions.
INCI / Ingredients
INCI Name: Niacinamide
Origin: Synthetic (cosmetic grade)
Appearance: White, crystalline powder
Solubility: Water soluble
When using Niacinamide in your skincare routine remember it should not be used with L-Ascorbic Acid as it can affect the efficacy of Vitamin C formulations. Skin compatibility is key when combining different actives.
Comparison with Other Ingredients
Niacinamide powder is often compared to vitamin C derivatives, copper peptides and direct acids. But Niacinamide is a unique ingredient that offers different benefits like balancing visible sebum activity and skin tone. When using Niacinamide powder avoid mixing it with products containing vitamin C or direct acids as it can cause irritation or reduce the effectiveness of the product. Instead mix it with hyaluronic acid serum or natural moisturising factors to get the most out of it. This way you can maximize the benefits of Niacinamide while keeping your skincare regimen harmonious.
Safety and Precautions
When using 100% Niacinamide Powder, always perform a patch test first, especially if you have sensitive skin. If irritation develops, stop use and consult a dermatologist. Handle the powder with clean hands and avoid applying it to broken or irritated skin. Ensure that the products you mix with the powder are pH compatible (between 5.0 and 7.0) to maintain effectiveness. Following these precautions will help you safely incorporate 100% Niacinamide Powder into your skincare routine.

Q&A
- hi please can you tell me the ph needed for B3? thanks Dawn
- Thank you for your enquiry. It's pretty stable over a wider pH range but obviously extremes at either end could degrade it and cause it to be less effective, but in the normal pH range in cosmetic products, it will be stable.
- is the niacinamide 100 % natural? Many thanks
- Thank you for your enquiry. Our Vitamin B3 is synthetically made. If your require any further information this can be requested from our Technical Team here; https://aromantic.co.uk/pages/request-technical-documents
- What is the recommended PH for this product? Many thanks. Ana
- Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team; "It is most stable around pH 5 to pH 6. When it goes as low as pH4, it can start to crystallise in the product. The two other factors are that the finished product should be a skin friendly pH and, depending on the preservative you have used, a suitable pH for the preservative."
- Hi, is this nature identical / synthetic or a natural extract? Thank you
- Thank you for your enquiry. The Vitamin B3 is synthetic.
- Hi is it possible to use Hyaluronic acid gel and Vitamin B3 together in a serum please?
- Thank you for your enquiry. Yes there's no reason why not as far as we are aware.
