Inci:Cucurbita Pepo Seed Oil

An oil that contains useful zinc. Rich in Omega 6 and Omega 9, it also contains magnesium. Excellent for toning and lifting the skin.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A green to brownish green oil that is cold pressed from the organic seeds of pumpkins and then deodorised to improve the pungent odour which ends up being mild and slightly nutty. The deodorisation process is basically a steam shot through the oil whilst in a vacuum. This does not damage the quality of the oil and vastly improves the smell of the oil, making it much more usable. If this oil was not deodorised, it would be too strong a smell for most people to contemplate using.

Use 1% to 100%.

Oil soluble so cannot be used in water only products. It can be used in small amounts in water based gels that will hold it in suspension.

Heat stable so can be used in Stage 1 (fat stage) when making creams and lotions.

Blend Pumpkin Seed Oil with Sesame Oil as part of a cuticle oil blend.

C18:0 Stearic Acid 4% to 7%

C18:1 Oleic Acid (Omega 9) 22% to 36%

HOW TO USE IT

Pumpkin Seed Oil is a great oil to use in products for acne prone skin. The oil contains naturally occurring zinc which is excellent for skin care.

This zinc content is also excellent where a lifting effect is required, whether on mature skin or on areas of the body that would benefit from toning.

Pumpkin Seed Oil also reduces the appearance of aging by helping the skin to retain moisture, thus minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

It is excellent as part of a blend in a cuticle oil as the zinc content nourishes the nail bed.

Hair Care

Pumpkin Seed Oil contains zinc and magnesium, which are two essential minerals for hair care. Zinc not only thickens hair, it speeds the growth as well. This is reinforced by the rich Omega 9 essential fatty acid.

It conditions and protects the hair without making it feel lank or heavy. The moisturised hair will feel soft and not sticky and dandruff will be reduced.
