Inci:Eucalyptus Citriodora Oil

A sweet, rosy, lemon like fragrance with the camphoraceous notes of other Eucalypts.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A colourless to pale yellow, volatile oil obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of a particular species of Eucalyptus tree.

HOW TO USE IT

Skin Care

It's a wonderful choice for foot creams and gels and still suitable if you have problems with toe nails or irritated skin between the toes.

A good addition to deodorants.

Very good for sports massage in balms and creams.

Excellent in blemish prone skin products but use in small amounts only because of the sensitive nature of blemish prone skin.

Hair Care

It's useful to have in a travel or holiday hair and body wash as it is deodorising, refreshing and cleansing whilst also acting as an insect repellent.

Other

It is very cleansing and penetrating and makes a great massage oil to be included in a blend.

Great as an insect repellent.

Cleanses and brightens the air in a room when diffused in an oil burner.

Cleanses the mind and makes the air feel fresher to breathe especially when combined with frankincense.

Suggested Blends

Blend with Patchouli and Cedarwood as an insect repellent as it contains more citronellal than Citronella oil does.

Combine with Ginger and Rosemary essential oils to use in products for pre and post gym workouts.

CAUTIONS / CONTRAINDICATIONS

Eucalyptus Citriodora Oil naturally contains molecules that are restricted for use in skin care products within the EU. The oil is safe as long as it is used within these limits.

For rinse off products like shampoo and body washes, limit the use to 1.6%

For full body products and foot care products limit the amount used to 0.37%

For facial toners and creams, limit the amount used to 0.06%

For hand creams and nail care products, limit the use to 0.01%

For make up, cleansers, masks and eye products, limit the use to 0.03%

Although these levels may seem low, they have been declared as safe. The fragrance of the oil is very strong and you will still get a noticeable effect.

Do not use it on children under the age of 10.

Potential dermal irritant for sensitive skin.

Warning: Essential oils can be toxic to some animals when used in vapourisers. Consult a veterinary surgeon if concerned.
