About this product
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
- Use 1% to 100%. However, it is a very potent water and you may find that 10% is effective enough. Use diluted on babies.
- Water soluble so cannot be used in oil only products.
- Heat stable so can be used in Stage 2 (water stage) when making creams and lotions.
- This hydrolat has had no broad spectrum preservative added to its bottle, so please take care to not contaminate it during use.
Hydrolats are very prone to fungal contamination. Store them in the fridge if you can and never leave the tops off the bottles whilst you are working.
HOW TO USE IT
- Chamomile Hydrolat is gentle enough to use on babies when diluted. It can also be sprayed lightly in their bedroom to not only encourage sleep but also associate that fragrance with bedtime - useful when away from home! For the same reason, it can be added to their bath water.
- Suitable for all skin types and can be used as a facial spritz throughout the day as well as a toner after cleansing.
- Chamomile Hydrolat is excellent to use on acne-prone skin. It tightens the pores as it is slightly astringent. It also soothes the skin.
- Very good to use around the eyes because of its astringency. Soak some cotton pads with Chamomile Hydrolat and place under the eyes to reduce eye bags or soothe eyes during hayfever season.
- The soothing action of Chamomile Hydrolat is useful for applying to irritated skin as well as eczema-prone skin. Be aware that it has a slight astringency though so consider if that is desirable or not when applying to sensitised skin.
- It is very refreshing when used as a toner or facial spray. It adds wonderful fragrance and qualities when added to gels, lotions and creams.
- Chamomile Hydrolat has no direct use for hair care but the astringent action can benefit an oily scalp if sprayed directly onto the scalp.
- Can be added to shampoos for a calming and relaxing fragrance.
