Melt Stage 1 ingredients in a double boiler / bain marie. Add to ground down Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate and stir in well until fully combined. Mix the melted ingredients in thoroughly but try not to make much SCI Solid Surfactant fly when doing so. You can keep this on the heat but don't worry if the powdered SCI Solid Surfactant does not melt completely, you just need everything to be well combined. Remember to wear your face mask! Remove from the double boiler and add Stage 2 ingredients. Stir well to fully combine. You may find you need to work the ingredients together firmly to get them properly mixed in. Add the Stage 3 ingredients and mix in thoroughly. This may take some time as the other ingredients cool quite quickly and form a thick mouldable putty like mixture. Squishing the ingredients with the back of a large spoon works well when making small batches. Press firmly into suitable moulds, refrigerate until set. Release from moulds and allow to harden in a safe place. Turn your fresh shampoo bars every day so that each side gets exposed to the air and hardens evenly. Wrap and label. Allow to dry between use.
