This appears very liquid when bottled but it does thicken up overnight. This means it is easier to get into squeezy bottles.

Thank you for your enquiry.

Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team;

“Technically you don’t need to add Conditioner Emulsifier to this conditioner as the Emulsifying Wax (BTMS 25) is cationic and binds to the hair so can be used as both a rinse off and leave on conditioner with great results.

If you do decide to add Conditioner Emulsifier to this recipe I suggest you decrease the amount of Emulsifying Wax (BTMS 25) and you will also need to acidify the water as this turns the Conditioner Emulsifier into a cationic ingredient.

We haven’t worked with Conditioner Emulsifier in this way though so we can’t guarantee it will work the way you want it to."

Hi, I want to make this recipe as a leave-in conditioner, so I was just wondering if I can add conditioner emulsifier with the BTMS 25 together in this recipe. Thanks

Thank you for your enquiry.

“Adding more Honey Moisturiser would just be wasting your money as it is already in the recipe at 5%. It has no extra effect when used higher.

To make it more lotion-like, reduce the Emulsifying Wax to 4%, the Shea Butter to 1.5% and the Argan Oil to 6.5%.

Make up the difference to 100% with the water.

We have not tested this so cannot say if it will be stable – it is something you would need to try for yourself."
