A hydrosol which is made by dispersing an essential oil into water. This gives you the therapeutic benefits of the essential oil as well as a fragrance that is more like what is expected. Beneficial for all skin types including acne prone skin.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A colourless to very pale yellow liquid with a light, fresh and elegant aroma of geranium. The essential oil used in the water is produced by steam distillation of the flowers of the geranium plant.

Use 1% to 100%.

Water soluble so cannot be used in oil only products.

Heat stable so can be used in Stage 2 (water stage) when making creams and lotions.

This hydrosol has a minimal amount of preservative added to protect the product while it stays in the stock bottle. When you use it in other products, you should add a preservative for the whole formulation, as you normally would.

Hydrolats are very prone to fungal contamination. Store them in the fridge if you can and never leave the tops off the bottles whilst you are working.

Mix with Witch Hazel Hydrolat / Hydrosol for a beautiful fragrance and amazing toner for acne prone skin.

Blend with other hydrolats / hydrosols at the recommended dilutions for refreshing and tonifying facial mists.

HOW TO USE IT

Skin Care

Rose Geranium Hydrosol is suitable for all skin types.
It has a slight astringency which makes it desirable for mature skin. Use in facial sprays, toners, creams, lotions and serums.
The slight astringency of Rose Geranium Hydrolat also makes this desirable to use in products for acne prone skin.

It is an excellent toner and can be used after a cleanser or just as a refreshing facial spray any time of the day. The scent is delightful and known to relax and relieve stress.

It helps to keep the skin moisturised and smooth. Use Orange Blossom Hydrolat in after sun products for its calming effects and hydration.

Hair Care

Rose Geranium Hydrosol helps to condition the hair and can even be sprayed neat onto the hair to make it more shiny.

Rose geranium water

This water smells just like essential oil only more gentle. I used it for a face toner. Feels beautiful on the skin and leaves a nice scent to enjoy for a while until it sinks in the skin.
