PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Aromantic’s new Active Soothe Lotion has been developed by the Research & Development team at Aromantic following increasing demand for Active Cream 1 and Active Cream 2 which were out of stock. As one of the key ingredients had been discontinued by our suppliers and we needed to reformulate. We took the opportunity to massively improve the formulation so that just the one product was appropriate for irritated skin conditions.
We wanted the new product to be vegan and palm free. We wanted it to be suitable for all skins, including those that were eczema prone, psoriasis prone as well as for general skin irritations. Many of our customers wanted such a cream or lotion for their children and because of the herbs we have used, we advise you NOT to use it on babies and children up to the age of 7. Of course, for everyone, DO NOT use it on broken skin.
Active Soothe Lotion is a complete, ready to use, product that contains a potent combination of herbs and carrier oils all specifically chosen for their properties that are known to soothe the skin and help it to grow in a healthy and nourished manner. It has a light, less viscous consistency than a cream, that is easily absorbed by the skin and needs minimal rubbing making it highly suited for those with such delicate skin problems.
It is a matte, greyish green colour with a slightly herbal aroma that comes from the decoction of Horsetail, Cleavers, Wild Pansy and Calendula herbs. We have deliberately chosen not to add essential oils or something to cover this herbal aroma - it is what it is.
This is a complete lotion, therefore no essential oils or other Active Ingredients can be added to this product.
Please note, the product comes packaged in a 50ml Airless Pump Dispenser, not the glass jar as pictured.
HOW TO USE IT
Apply to the skin where needed. Smoothe in gently. Store the containers somewhere cool and dry and out of direct sunlight.
As with every new product, you should try a test patch first in the crook of your elbow or behind your ear. Only continue to use it if you get no irritation or reaction within the next 24 hours.
As this has been safety assessed as a cosmetic product, if you feel you have a serious skin condition, you should consult with your doctor.
KEY INGREDIENTS
Horsetail can help to soothe the skin.
Cleavers naturally contains a variety of Tannic Acids which are astringent and can also help to soothe the skin.
Wild Pansy has a long traditional history for soothing the skin.
Calendula is, perhaps, the most well known of the soothing herbs. It is gentle yet strong and extremely valuable when used in skin products.
The blend of vegetable oils we used is exceptional and includes Pumpkin Seed Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Oat Oil and Thistle Oil. You can read more about each of these on the website.
Aloe Vera was added, of course, and we have included Rice Starch because of the immensely soothing and gentle texture it adds to the lotion as well as being beneficial to all skin types. The lotion is finished off with some Evening Primrose and Vitamin E, both renowned for their skin benefits.
It’s quite a potent formulation!
