Product Description
Aromantic's Base Cream for Sensitive Skin is a mild, light, and hydrating formulation that's kind to the skin, leaving it feeling soft, supple, and gently cared for. With a pH of 5-6 (the optimum pH for sensitive skin cream), this gentle moisturizer is designed to comfort delicate, reactive, or aging skin that needs extra care.
The cream is rich in Omega 6 (Linoleic Acid) and Omega 9 (Oleic Acid), both useful elements in helping to soothe sensitive skin and support the skin barrier. Rice Bran Oil and Vitamin E provide antioxidant protection, fighting free radicals that can cause premature aging of the skin while helping to maintain skin's natural resilience.
The base cream is made with carefully chosen plant oils and cosmetic ingredients to ensure purity and quality. This cream can be used daily as a standalone moisturiser on the face and body. For formulators, it also allows you to create customised skincare by adding up to 3% of oil-soluble ingredients, including essential oils, botanical CO2 extract, or active ingredients like Bisabolol or Eco Marine Algae Extract. After adding your chosen actives or oil, the base can be poured into containers for easy use.
Mild, palm-free, and vegan, this base cream has been lab tested to confirm preservative efficacy, safety, and stability. Whether used on its own or customised, it delivers gentle and effective skincare.
Custom Skincare
Custom skincare is all about creating skincare products that are tailored to your skin type and needs. By starting with a fragrance-free cream base or body butter base, you have the flexibility to blend in natural ingredients, essential oils, and nourishing oils to suit sensitive skin or any specific concern. This way, you can create creams, serums, and even foaming bath butter that are rich in moisturising ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E.
Using cosmetic bases and lotion bases as your starting point, you can easily create a range of skincare products that are gentle, effective, and free from unnecessary fragrances or harsh additives. Whether you want a light cream for daily hydration or a rich body butter for deep nourishment, custom skincare puts you in control of the ingredients that touch your skin. This is perfect for anyone who wants to avoid common irritants and instead focus on naturally derived ingredients that support health and balanced skin.
Cosmetic Cream Base Uses
Cosmetic cream bases are very versatile, making them a must-have for anyone who wants to create their own skincare products. With a high-quality cream base, you can make a variety of finished products from soothing face creams and hydrating body creams to luxurious body butter and lightweight serums. These bases are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and can be enriched with oils, extracts, and active ingredients to address specific concerns.
For those who like to experiment, cream bases can be used to make everything from gentle moisturisers to whipped body butters and even foaming bath butter. They are also perfect for formulating fragrance-free creams for customers who prefer unscented skincare or for adding your blend of essential oils and natural fragrances. Whether you’re making products for personal use or developing a range for resale, cosmetic bases provide a solid foundation for safe, effective, and customisable skincare.
How to use it
Usage Rate: 100% as supplied or up to 3% oil-soluble additions.
As a Standalone Moisturizer: Apply directly to cleansed skin as a daily moisturizer, morning and evening. Use on face, neck, or body wherever soothing hydration is needed.
Oil-Soluble Additions (up to 3% total):
- Add up to 1% essential oils
- Add oil-soluble actives like Calendula CO2 Extract, Oat Oil, Bisabolol, or Eco Marine Algae Extract
Water-Soluble Additions (up to 3% total):
- Can add water-soluble actives like Lupine Peptides, Wu Zhu Extract, or Comfrey Glycerol Extract
- Requires both new CPSR and PET for resale
Pro Tip: If adding water-soluble ingredients, ensure the total remains under 3% and recheck the pH (must be between 3–10). For resale, a new CPSR and PET will be required when water-soluble ingredients are added.
Note: If the base cream is too firm to mix easily, you can gently melt it before adding your chosen ingredients. Allow it to cool slightly before blending to maintain the desired texture.
After adding ingredients, always check the final pH – it must be between pH 3-10 for the preservative to function properly.
Tips for Using Cosmetic Bases
To get the most out of your cosmetic bases, start by choosing a base that matches your skin type and desired product texture—whether you prefer a light lotion, a rich body butter, or a creamy moisturiser. When customising, always add oils, essential oils, or actives gradually and within recommended usage rates to maintain product stability and skin safety. For sensitive skin, opt for gentle, naturally derived ingredients like shea butter, sunflower oil, and vitamin E, and consider going fragrance-free.
Always patch test your finished product, especially when introducing new ingredients or essential oils. Store your creams and body butters in a cool, dry place, and keep the containers tightly sealed to preserve their freshness. If you plan to sell your customised skincare, ensure you follow all safety and regulatory guidelines, including stability testing and proper labelling. With these tips, you can create nourishing and effective skincare products that are tailored to your needs.

How much of my chosen oils or actives can I add?
You can add up to 1% of your chosen essential oil blend as part of the 3% total oil-soluble additions.
What if I want to add water-soluble ingredients?
You may add them, but this requires a new CPSR and PET for resale, as they can affect the preservative system.
