Nice consistency

"I use the oil in a “Very Dry Skin” lotion along with some oat and other skin soothing extracts. Your customer support is amazing too! I would love to buy more products from Aromantic but the duties for shipping from the UK is too expensive for me being in Canada."

Q&A

Is this oil cold pressed and unrefined?
Thank you for your enquiry. The Oat Oil we have in stock at the moment has been extracted using a solvent (ethanol) and it is refined.
Hi, please could you tell me the origins of your oat oil? I’m looking for some that is grown and produced in Britain. Many thanks.
Thank you for your enquiry. The country of origin of the Oat Oil is the UK.
Hi Can you tell me when the 1 litre bottles are back in stock? Thanks Barbara
If you scroll down to 1 litre in the product description and then click the "Notify Me when Available" link that will show, this will enable you to set up an automated notification via e-mail when this is back in stock.
Hi, Do you ever sell an Organic Oat oil? I’m starting to make creams and I’d like for all ingredient to be organic, also raw..... are your vegetable oils all raw /cold pressed, or is there a difference between these descriptions? I have found information stating that they are the same thing and other stating if it’s cold pressed it doesn’t mean it’s raw? Could you shed some light for me please. Many thanks Louise
Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team; "Cold Pressed is not the same as raw. To claim something is raw, it has to be processed below 40C. When an oil is cold pressed, the friction from the grinding can get as high a 70C. We have had products tested to show that the oil is not damaged by that because it is extended heating which causes more problems. We have been searching for an organic oat oil for a while now but, even though we have found suppliers, the quality has not been good enough for us. We won't stock a product just because of its name - it has to be good quality. Some of our products are refined or deodorised. It varies from supplier to supplier but one company we use refines the colour by pouring the oil through activate charcoal. We declare this in the information so that customers can make an informed choice but it makes the oil much more usable. Another company refines deodorises an oil with a shot of steam whilst in a vacuum. Before and after tests have shown the the oil is not degraded by this and The Soil Association have agreed that organic oils that have been treated this way can retain their organic status. We never stock raw shea butter. Shea Butter goes rancid within a matter of weeks of pressing so by the time it came to the UK it would already be rancid. It is not illegal to sell a rancid product and indeed, raw shea butter is better for loxing hair. In our opinion, adding an oxidised product is detrimental to the skin. Therefore, we buy our shea from a supplier who refines it. This simply means putting the butter into boiling water and letting it cool overnight. This deactivates the rancidity process and keeps the nutritional quality of the butter for 2 years. However, it would now not be raw product. Unfortunately, it is not easy to make such choices but we try hard to make sure you can make informed choices."
