- Dear Aromantic team, what is the level of Aloe in the Aloe gel base? Secondly, can you mix in either your oat oil or your Arctic Oat CO2 extract into it to help alleviate red, irritated itchy skin and if so, what is the maximum level of either of those oat additives that the gel will accept?
- Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team; "The Aloe Vera gel has 10% Aloe Vera Concentrate in it. You can add up to 4% oils to the gel."
- Hi, what percentage of ingredients can you add to the base? To that extra addition, will you have to add a preservative? Thanks
- Our Base Gel is not a product that you add other ingredients to rather it is a product that is added as part of a formulation. Although Base Gel can be used as it is for topical applications such as on a bruise it is not a product that is used for long periods as it can be very drying to the skin. Therefore we strongly suggest you do not add other water soluble or other ingredients to it.

- Thank you for your enquiry. Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team; "It would physically mix together if you mixed a small amount of both together first before combining it all together, However, you will then have diluted the preservative by 10% as well and that means the whole mix would fail within a few days. The preservative used in the Base Gel is Preservative 12, so the difference should be made up to the normal level. The alternative could be to add the aloe vera powder at a much lower percentage without significantly altering the preservative at all."

- The Base Gel with Aloe Vera is a water based gel so any essential oils added would need to be solubilised with Emulsifan first or they won't fully combine. It depends entirely on the final purpose of the gel and personal preference as to which essential oils could be added but we recommend a maximum of 1%. If the end product is for sale then restrictions on usage rates may apply so talk that over with your cosmetic assessor.
- Hi. if I wanted to add essential oils to the base gel with aloe vera would I need a dispersant ingredient for the essential oils to disperse fully into the gel as it is a water based product?
