Base Cream for Dry Skin

Aromantic’s Base Cream for Dry Skin is rich, nourishing and kind to the skin, leaving the skin feeling soft, supple and super hydrated not mention both palm free and vegan. It has a high content of Palmitic and Stearic Acids which are emollient and help to lock moisture into the skin. It also contains Omega 6 & 9 (Oleic Acid & Linoleic Acid) which are both valuable in helping to maintain the health of dry skin.

It may be used daily, applied to any area of the face or body that would benefit from some extra nourishment and is especially good when applied to damp skin.

Our new Base Cream for Dry Skin is a complete product which does not need anything added to it however you may add up to 3% of oil soluble ingredients without compromising the integrity of the preservative system in the product. This can include up to 1% of your chosen essential oil blend or any of our fabulous oil soluble Active Ingredients such as Eco Marine Algae Extract, Algaktiv Zen or Remodelling Intense.

The pH of this product, without any extra ingredients is pH 5-6, which is the optimum pH for a dry skin cream.

Please check the final pH of your product after you have made any additions. This must fall between pH3-12 in order for the preservative to continue functioning fully.

Please see below for information on the CPSR (Cosmetic Product Safety Report) & PET (Preservative Efficacy Test) requirements if you do add anything to the base product.

If you are intending to resell this product without the addition of any extra ingredients, please ensure you obtain a revised CPSR in your own name. You will need to contact Oxford BioSciences for this service for which there is a cost of approximately £40.

If you add any oil soluble ingredients to the Base Cream for Dry Skin, you will need to obtain a new CPSR that includes your added ingredients. You will not need a new PET.

Please note: This is an arrangement that Aromantic has with Oxford BioSciences so if you choose to go to a different cosmetic assessor that arrangement will not stand, and you will need both a new CPSR & PET.

If you choose to add water soluble ingredients (remember only up to 3%) or a combination of both oil soluble and water soluble Active Ingredients, Botanical CO2 Extracts or Carrier Oils you will need to obtain both a new CPSR and PET. This will be necessary as adding water soluble ingredients has the potential to upset the balance of the preservative system in the Base Cream for Dry Skin and will apply regardless of which assessor you choose to use.

Cocoa Butter. Softens, nourishes and protects the skin. Cocoa Butter slows down TEWL which helps to keep the skin hydrated and conditioned. Just what your dry skin needs.

Castor Oil. This is an exceptional natural emollient that is absorbed slowly and can improve the appearance of dry skin. Castor Oil is particularly beneficial for dry skin as it helps to keep it supple and soothed even when used at low percentages.

Rice Bran Oil. Combines well with Castor Oil and helps to decrease the sticky feel of the Castor Oil. Rice Bran Oil is rich in Tocotrienols (anti oxidants) and naturally contains a liquid form of Oryzanol, a Vitamin B derivative, that helps to keep skin soft and healthy. It is suitable for all skin types.

Emulsifier M. This fabulous emulsifier gives all products the most superior skin feel of any emulsifier we have used making even heavy Castor Oil and Cocoa Butter feel light and elegant. It sinks into the skin quickly leaving a matte finish and provides long lasting hydration. Emulsifier M is guaranteed palm free.

Saccharide Isomerate Plus. This is an intensive, natural moisture enhancer that binds with the skin enabling deep and lasting hydration. It helps to reduce the signs of dry skin and has a cumulative effect when used in a product regularly. Products including Saccharide Isomerate Plus give you both an immediate and long lasting, substantial effect.
