Organic Chickweed Oil is a specialised herbal macerate crafted by infusing freshly dried Stellaria media, better known as chickweed, into sunflower oil. The chickweed plant is easily recognised by its small, star-shaped white flowers, and its botanical name, Stellaria media, reflects this star-like appearance. Chickweed is often considered a weed, thriving in disturbed ground and forming dense mats along the ground. It is native to Europe but is now naturalised in many regions.

Note: Fresh chickweed is typically harvested in spring, and wilting the plant material before infusion helps preserve the infused oil and prevent spoilage. The process of making the oil involves gently warming the mixture to extract beneficial compounds like saponins and other extracts from the plant material. After infusion, the oil is strained to remove the plant material, and the infused oil is stored in containers.
