Everything You Need To Know
A clear, pale yellow oil with hardly any aroma that is made by warm maceration (at 35°C) of the dried aerial parts of the (non GMO) Mullein plant in High Oleic Sunflower Oil. Vitamin E is added as an antioxidant and that Vitamin E is itself blended with a little Sunflower Oil to make it pourable.
The ratios are 8.3% dry herb to 91.7% liquid by weight, then 0.1% rosemary antioxidant extract added by weight.
- Use 1% to 100%.
- Oil soluble so cannot be used in water only products. It can be used in small amounts in water based gels that will hold it in suspension.
- Heat stable so can be used in Stage 1 (fat stage) when making creams and lotions.
Cautions/Contraindications
Some people may be sensitive to the Mullein plant so should do a patch test first before using this oil.
Blend Mullein Flower Oil with Olive Oil when making scalp serums.
When combined with Pumpkin Seed Oil, it is excellent for toning and lifting the skin.
